By accessing or using HEICFREE. (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Service.
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after any modifications constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
2. Description of Service
HEICFREE. provides a free, browser-based tool that converts HEIC and HEIF image files to JPG, PNG, or WEBP format. The Service is provided "as is" and is free of charge. All image processing is performed locally within your web browser; no files are uploaded to our servers.
3. Use of the Service
You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:
- Use the Service in any way that violates applicable local, national, or international laws or regulations
- Attempt to interfere with, compromise the integrity or security of, or decipher any transmissions to or from the servers running the Service
- Use the Service to process images you do not own or do not have the right to convert
- Use automated scripts to access the Service in a manner that sends more request traffic than a human can reasonably produce in the same period
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any portion of the Service
4. Intellectual Property
The Service, including its design, text, graphics, and code (excluding third-party open-source libraries), is owned by HEICFREE. and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
The open-source libraries used by this Service (heic2any, JSZip) are licensed under their respective open-source licenses. Their use does not grant you any rights to the HEICFREE. brand, design, or proprietary code.
Your image files remain entirely your own. We claim no ownership over any files you process using the Service.
5. Privacy
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Because all conversion happens in your browser, we do not receive, view, or store any of your image files.
6. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without any warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to:
- Warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose
- Warranties that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components
- Warranties regarding the accuracy or completeness of the converted output
You assume full responsibility for any use of the Service and any reliance on its output.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, HEICFREE. shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or loss of goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of (or inability to use) the Service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Our total liability to you for any claims arising under these Terms shall not exceed $10 USD.
8. Third-Party Services and Links
The Service may display third-party advertisements (Google AdSense) and contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or accuracy of any third-party websites or services. Links to third-party sites do not constitute an endorsement.
9. Availability and Modifications
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time, with or without notice. We shall not be liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the Service.
